Brady C. Jefcoat Museum
Murfreesboro, North Carolina
Brady C. Jefcoat spent 35 years collecting antiques, collectables, and oddities with an emphasis on phonographs, music boxes, and household appliances. Before he passed away in 2013, Mr. Jefcoat created an endowment. He gifted his collection to the Murfreesboro Historical Association with assurances that the entire collection would be displayed. This is an impressive amount of items! There are over 18,000 pieces on display at the museum ranging from glassware, toasters to farm equipment and period furniture, filling more than 17,000 square feet of display space. The building holding this collection is the old Murfreesboro School, which opened in 1922.
There are reports of unexplained activity. Are they truly paranormal in nature? We have many questions… Is Mr. Jefcoat still looking after his beloved collection? Is this activity somehow tied to objects of his collection? Perhaps the activity is related to the building itself? Could former students or teachers still be roaming these halls? We can’t wait to see what data we collect. |
