Bellaire House
Bellaire, Ohio

We’re already looking forward to a stop on our Moundsville investigation itinerary that we couldn’t pass up: The Bellaire House. This property in Bellaire, OH, has an impressive legend tied to native populations, the Underground Railroad, a mining explosion, and the settlement of the area; it’s hard to know where to begin.

Built in 1847 by Jacob Heatherington, the fascinating Bellaire House has been featured in numerous podcasts and tv shows. It is claimed to be haunted by a gray man and a child that possibly fell from the third floor. There are also stories of occult practices in the seance room in attempts to open portals into spiritual realms and tales of violent phenomena occurring to visitors.
